Zero Tolerance (1994) Rated R Movie review by RPcrazy (aka AnneB) Robert Patrick, Titus Welliver, Kristen Meadows, Mick Fleetwood, Barbara Patrick, Billy Hufsey and Miles O'Keefe. RP droolabilty 10 - Any movie where he takes his shirt off gets this score. The shirt off factor, 5 - Only once - but gorgeous!. Spine tingling looks, 8 - I wouldn't want to be one of those mob members.. The gravely voice, 5 - His voice is deeper now. Presence in movie 10 - Top billing Swear-o-meter 2 - Good boy - only 2 naughty words.. Synopsis and My Thoughts FBI agent Jeff Douglas (Robert Patrick) takes the law into his own hands against a criminal organisation called the White Hand. This rage is sparked by the killing of his family - his wife and two children. Travelling from state to state he goes after the godfathers to kill them as an act of retribution for his loss. This is not particularly a movie I'd rush out to see. It has way too much violence, noise, blood, explosions and disturbing images. The hardest part to take was when Jeff Douglas' wife Wendy (his real life wife Barbara Patrick) was brutally bashed before being killed by the White Hand mob. I did however enjoy the fast paced action and watching RP in his jeans and jacket. I ended up dismissing all the blood and violence just to watch our RP in the movie roll he obviously enjoyed doing. RP appearances Our guy plays a big part in this move - He has top billing and he's in just about every scene. If you like watching RP angst you're not going to be disappointed with this movie. This role lets him explore his emotions to the fullest; learning of his wife's and children's murders, watching home movies after their deaths, cleaning his gun and contemplating suicide, luckily he was saved by a knock at the door. Memorable lines/scenes * RP singing - he's no Richard Patrick in that department! * Angst - hearing on the phone of his family's murders. * The nice little pat on the butt RP gets from his wife in a flashback scene (Just noticed that for the first time). I've watched the whole movie about five times! * RP motorbike riding. * He's so great and the two guns at once routine. * The RP fight scenes - he really gets into those. * The way he wears those jeans! * The shirt-off scene in the motel is a must to see. Availability ebay.com - there are actually 3 copies on ebay as I write this review amazon.com - none videoflicks.com - VHS $24.99 End thoughts The viewing of this movie is a must for the RP enthusiast if not for the only fact that he has top billing - he's the star. It certainly keeps us interested - the fast paced action and storyline add to the enjoyment. We also feel for him as he seeks out retribution for the brutal killing of his family. For the RP movie collector this is also a must. According to the website, videoflicks.com has Zero Tolerance in stock.
