"Beethoven"- David plays Wilhem, the assistant of the great composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. The movie takes place just a few years before Beethoven's death, taking you through the writing of some of his greatest symphonies and the secret love he left behind. It is also suggests, though it's never stated directly, that Beethoven may have had a torrid love affair with Wilhem. We are left wondering if Beethoven's death was really the result of Wilhem's jealous rage over the composer's "lady friends." And if you believe that load of crap then you probably live under a rock. I'm sure we've all heard of the hit family movie Beethoven. There have been two sequels to it so far and it seems like every high school foreign language teacher has a copy of it dubbed in the language he/she teaches. (On a side note, the guy who dubs over David in the French version is not even close but funny to listen to.) David plays Brad. He has a rather small part in this movie. The last we see of him, Brad and his wife - played by Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond - are dragged down the street on deck chairs attached to Beethoven's leash. They are not necessarily the "bad guys", that part goes to Dean Jones. But after listening to them say "ciao" for about the tenth time in one minute you just want to smack both of them upside their impeccably groomed heads. But I digress. My point is: don't see this movie just because David is in it. If you are a parent, I'm sure this doesn't apply to you as you have probably already seen this movie more times than you'd rather count. ~Diandra Hollman
